Southern Command Headquarters
Edward Lewis Architects was commissioned by the developer during the programming and design phase of the project and provided inspection services during construction of the Southern Command Headquarters.
The entire project was budgeted at 90 million (primarily electronics and equipment), and Edward Lewis Architects was responsible for 10 million.
The 150,000 SF facility is fabricated from precast tilt up concrete panels with a composite structural steel frame. The shell was completed in a 4 month time frame and the highly technical construction
had to be completed in a span of 6 months to accommodate the high tech components including satellite dishes as well functions for over 800 people.
