Washington Mutual Great Western Banks

Edward Lewis Architects worked with Washington Mutual Bank to develop concepts for the bank's expansion into the South Florida market. EDWARD LEWIS ARCHITECTS subsequently served as Washington Mutual's Corporate architects for the three years. During that time, we have evaluated and designed approximately 60 projects. As part of this design effort, EDWARD LEWIS ARCHITECTS implemented Washington Mutual's Corporate Standards.

The effect of this construction effort has been to transform the South Florida market, with Washington Mutual establishing itself as a major financial player.

• Great Western:
Edward Lewis Architects designed two branch-banking facilities for GW. One is in 'The Crossings”, an upscale suburban shopping mall. And the second was in Hallandale, Florida, the first community into Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale) adjacent to Aventura , Florida and the Aventura Mall, an extremely upscale community on the Atlantic, north of Miami. Both branches were 4,000 SF.
