Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation Department selected Edward Lewis Architects to perform Architectural, Planning and Engineering Services. Initially the park projects included minor remodeling and alteration projects after many successful projects Edward Lewis Architects was awarded design and planning projects.

Edward Lewis Architects is considered an expert in Park and Community Center Planner using Environmentally Sensitive Design Solutions that focuses on each communities future and health. Each projects had unique requirements with complex programming and planning requirements, many of the projects required approval from the historical boards in Miami Dade County.
