Metro Zoo PAW Exhibit

Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation Department Metro Zoo—Planning and Design Study

ELA worked with the planning department at Metro Zoo to conceptualize a design them for a sensory, touch and feel exhibit at the Zoo’s childrens learning area.

The entrance to PAWS is defined by an archway decorated with friendly, familiar animals and images inviting all to enter and explore.

The sensory trail is approximately 1/4 miles of winding wooded trails integrated with sensory exhibits.

The facility is designed to encourage family interaction and new experiences through educational exhibits of the senses, including touch, smell, sound, taste and sight.
